Authorities have identified the body found wrapped in plastic trash bags on Thursday in Chester.

He has been identified as 19-year-old Toby Allen Gale of Chester.

The medical examiner said an autopsy on Friday confirmed that Gale died of blunt force trauma to the head. His death has been ruled a homicide.

The body was found in the 100 block of Central Avenue shortly after 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

That location is between the Delaware River and Route 291 and a few blocks from the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Investigators say the body was found near a construction site near a footing of the bridge by city highway workers.

Police say Gale's body was bound and wrapped in plastic trash bags with a blanket over his head.

There is no word yet on any suspects in this case.
