Police: Homicide suspect is victim's handyman

Ewing Township police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old and say the suspect is his handyman.

On May 2nd, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Ewing police were called to Woodland Avenue for the report of an unresponsive male.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as 55-year-old Peter Anderson.

An autopsy was performed by the Mercer County Medical Examiner's Office and the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and ruled a homicide.

Police have identified the suspect as a handyman who had performed work on prior occasions at the residence.

Policedescribe him as a 38-year-old man from Laurence Harbor, NJ. He is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges in Connecticut.

Charges in Mercer County are forthcoming and the investigation is ongoing.
