Man critically injured in SW Phila. fire

A 65-year-old man was seriously hurt in a fire on Thursday morning in Southwest Philadelphia.

The victim, Brhaun Woldemarin - who goes by Bebe - was rushed to the hospital after the fire in the 2100 block of South 65th Street.

Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the home.

They were able to rescue the man from the building, but not before he suffered burns to more than 90 percent of his body.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

There is no word yet on a cause in this fire.
