Driver pinned after car flips on I-95

A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was pinned between her car and a guardrail after a crash on Friday morning.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 95 in Wilmington in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police say the crash involved a Mini Cooper and a van. The Mini Cooper overturned, pinning the driver.

She was rescued by Wilmington firefighters and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

There is no word on any other injuries.

All lanes of I-95 were closed for about 45 minutes following the crash.
