Police: Travel agency mailed checks to customers

BENSALEM, Pa. - July 28, 2011

In a statement released Thursday morning, Bensalem Township Police said detectives interviewed the owner of Aloha Travel Agency and arrangements were made to reimburse all customers who made complaints.

The victims were told contact police if they do not receive what is owed to them by early next week.

Some couples spoke to Action News earlier this week, saying they've had nothing but trouble with Aloha Travel.

The Boggis of Northeast Philadelphia say they paid Susan Hicks of Aloha Travel $5,000 for their wedding and vacation package.

Then, the couple says, they had to threaten her with police and legal action to get her to book it.

That's not all.

"We thought we were getting photos, hair and makeup, cocktail hour. We thought we were getting all this stuff that was included," Nikole Boggi said. "We got nothing."

Megan Steinmetz and her fiancee, Robert Sinclair, say they paid Aloha Travel $5,000 for their honeymoon which is supposed to be next month.

"I called Sandals and they said there was good news and bad news. The good news is that it was booked, but the bad news was she cancelled it as of July 14th," Steinmetz said.

If you have a complaint about Aloha Travel, you are asked to contact Bensalem Police at 215-633-3758.
