Phila. police arrest woman on US Airways flight

PHILADELPHIA - July 27, 2011

Police say Hannah Marie Shiner of Roseville, California made verbal threats to the flight attendant and passengers saying she was going to "blow up the aircraft".

Police also say Shiner made numerous references to the 9/11 attacks and stated she supported Osama Bin Laden for blowing up the Pentagon.

Police took Shiner into custody around 4:00 p.m.

A spokesperson for the Delaware County District Attorney's office says Shiner has been charged with making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.

Shiner was handed over to authorities in Delaware County because the terminal where she landed is in Tinicum Township.

Police have not said what they believe prompted her statements.

Shiner was arraigned on Thursday and is being held at the Delaware County jail. Her bail was set at $250,000. A psychiatric evaluation was ordered.
