Basil Bilal Berry died at the hospital from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. He was a suspect in a jewelry store hold up in Virginia on Tuesday.
A second suspect, 40-year-old Eric D. Roach also of Philadelphia, fled the vehicle during the chase. However, he was arrested last night in Henrico County, Va. ending the manhunt.
Police say both men were involved in a chase and shootout with officers after the hold up.
Suburban Philadelphia Police Departments consider Roach a "person of interest" in connection with several armed jewelry store robberies in our area in recent weeks.
