Twenty-three-year-old Laurie Wint was captured around 2:30 a.m. Sunday after an anonymous tip led law enforcement officers to a city residence.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says Wint tried to flee through a back door, but went back inside when he encountered several officers. He was soon found hiding in a basement closet.
Wint was armed with a rifle when he was found, but Faulk said no shots were fired.
Wint was being held at the county jail on $1 million bail Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't known if he had retained a lawyer. He faces murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Camden County and a fatal stabbing in Warminster Township, Pa.
