Overnight fire damages home in Glenolden

GLENOLDEN, Pa. - August 4, 2011 Fire crews were called to the 100 block of Bonsall Avenue in Glenolden shortly after 1:00 a.m., and when they arrived they found fire shooting from the first floor of the home.

The fire spread to the upper floors and roof.

It took about an hour to get the fire under control.

A mother and her juvenile daughter were taken to Crozier Chester Medical Center for smoke inhalation. The girl was been released, but her mother is being kept for observation.

A firefighter was treated for an ankle injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
