The crash happened on Conchester Highway, near Bethel Road around 3:00 Sunday morning.
Police say that the driver lost control of his vehicle, flipped over, and landed on a gas pipe at a nearby Sunoco Tank farm.
The pipe did not break, however police had to use a crane to safely lift the SUV.
The unidentified driver was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in critical condition.
The accident is still under investigation.
