Andre Watley angrily denied he was motivated by money as he seeks part of the settlement awarded to the mother of Daviay Legrand, who was fatally struck by an Allentown police car in 2007.
Watley maintained he had a meaningful relationship with his son in his video testimony from a western Pennsylvania prison, where he's serving a drug sentence.
The Morning Call newspaper reported Tuesday that Watley said saw the boy frequently during a seven-month span after being released from an earlier prison stint.
Crystal Legrand settled a wrongful death suit against the city in June for $600,000.
