A New Jersey State Police marine unit found Roswell Friend's body in Riverton. An autopsy is pending.
The 22-year-old was a member of Temple's track team.
Philadelphia police said Friend, who was from Cockeysville, Md., was captured by a campus security camera going for a run on Thursday night.
The Baltimore Sun reported Friend wrote, "Sorry guys" on a note board in his house and posted "I'm sorry everyone" on his Facebook page before he disappeared.
