The Delaware County medical examiner said that the body is that of 54-year-old Richard T. Dougherty of Upper Darby.
The cause of death was ruled to be from drowning.
The body was found around 6:30 a.m. Monday in the area of 61st Street and Baltimore Avenue.
Police previously said there were no outward signs of trauma.
