The shooting occurred along the 5000 block of Comly Street shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Police say a man in his late 20s was shot multiple times on the street and left for dead.
Police and medics responded and rushed the victim to Aria Hospital's Torresdale Division in extremely critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspected shooter fled the scene in what's being described as a silver car and remains at large.
