Couple found shot dead in W. Phila apartment

POWELTON - September 5, 2011

Police responded to the scene along Wiota Street.

In a second floor apartment, a male victim was found with a gunshot wound to the side of his head and a female victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Shell casings were found at the scene, but no weapon was recovered.

The deadly shooting remains under investigation.
