Commuter rail connecting Philly, Trenton reopens

PHILADELPHIA - September 6, 2011

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says service on the Trenton regional rail line is resuming Tuesday.

Rail service between downtown Philadelphia and Trenton had been disrupted by damage to signaling equipment by last week's storm. Riders had been taking shuttle buses between the stations in Trenton and Levittown, Bucks County.

The West Trenton regional rail line is still operating with half-hour delays while signal repairs are under way. Those repairs are expected to wrap up later in the week.
