The shooting occurred at Penn Manor Apartments along the 7100 block of Oxford Avenue shortly after 8:15 p.m.
Police say a 20-year-old woman was shot three times in the back.
Medics rushed the woman to Aria Hospital Torresdale Division for treatment.
Police say they apprehended the suspect shortly after he fled the scene and recovered a gun believed to be the weapon used.
