The shooting happened just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Brill and Burton streets.
Two men were seen fleeing on foot towards Glenloch Street.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police have not yet identified suspects or a motive.
