Police say on Tuesday they received information that a large quantity of marijuana was being sent to Vultran, LLC, located at 227 N. Market Street. Investigators set up surveillance on the building and after gathering information they executed a search warrant, as well as on 406 W. 6th Street.
Approximately 29 ½ pounds of marijuana was seized in the raid, with an estimated street value of over $132,000. Also confiscated were two hand guns, over $22,000 in cash and assorted paraphernalia, including an electronic money counter. Police also found shipping containers indicative of over 150 pounds of marijuana that had been delivered to the suspects.
Investigators say that the suspects were a major source of marijuana for the Wilmington area.
Arrested in this incident was 29-year-old Alexandar Grant of the 400 block W. 6th St and owner of Vultran, LLC. Also arrested were Taron Brown, 31, of Simmonds Drive in New Castle, and Neil Carr, 31, whose last known address was in the 400 block McCabe Avenue.
