GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - September 22, 2011

On Sept. 12, a shoplifting attempt was caught at the K-Mart on the 1400 block of Blackwood-Clementon Road.

A loss prevention officer was assaulted, while the suspect attempted to steal a 32 inch television from the store.

No one was injured but soon after the struggle, the suspect, 36-year-old Frank Zaveckas, fled the scene.

Zaveckas was recognized by store employees for previously stealing two televisions from the store.

An investigation uncovered a suspected shoplifting ring in which police say Zaveckas served as leader.

Zaveckas and his accomplices struck several stores in Berlin, Cinnaminson, Deptford and Somerdale.

30-year-old Tricia Roscoe and 28-year-old Nicole Roscoe his alleged partners were charged with conspiracy. Zaveckas is still being sought.

If anyone has additional information or knowledge of Zaveckas' whereabouts please contact the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500 or the Gloucester Township Tip Line at 856-842-5560
