Investigators say it all started Thursday afternoon when a male pointed a gun at a 22-year-old woman during an altercation on Wister Street. The woman contacted police and the male was arrested.
The gunman's family later that day approach the woman's house on the 6200 block of West Wister Street, but police were contacted and asked them to leave.
Then around 12:30 a.m. Friday, the family returned to the woman's house and a large fight ensued between the two families. A neighbor fired shots into the crowd, striking a 16-year-old boy in the right arm.
The wounded teen was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
The neighbor is now in police custody. Charges are still pending.
