Police say it was around 6:10 a.m. when the pedestrian was struck along the 600 block of Baltimore Pike, near the intersection of E. Leamy Avenue.
The 51-year-old victim went through the front windshield of the vehicle upon impact.
The man was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with leg and head injuries.
The driver stopped nearby the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
