FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - September 25, 2011
The effort to build the 5,000-square-foot home got a boost from first lady
Michelle Obama, who visited the project in July.
About 4,000 volunteers built the home in Fayetteville for a
group working to end homelessness among veterans.
The home was built for Navy veteran Barbara Marshall and the
women of the Steps N Stages Jubilee House. Several families will be
able to live there.
Obama's stop will
be featured in Sunday's two-hour episode, which airs at 8:00 p.m. on 6ABC.
