Hurricane Hilary still churning up dangerous surf
MIAMI - September 25, 2011
The U.S. National Hurricane Center said Sunday that Hilary had
maximum sustained winds near 125 mph (205 kph).
The center says Hilary is a small hurricane centered about 395
miles (635 kilometers) south of the southern tip of Baja
California. Forecasters say the storm was moving west at 9 mph (15
kph).
Hilary is forecast to turn toward the northwest as it weakens.
It currently is not expected to make landfall.
Meanwhile, two tropical storms were swirling in the Atlantic:
Ophelia and Philippe. Neither is expected to affect land.
