11-year-old injured in hit-and-run

MAYFAIR - September 26, 2011

It happened Aug. 30, at the Wawa located on the 7600 block of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair.

Police say an unidentified vehicle backed into a parking spot, striking the young girl and pinning her against another vehicle.

Shortly after striking the child, both vehicles fled the scene.

The victim suffered a cut and bruising to her right knee.

The first vehicle is described as a silver, mid-sized sedan with a sunroof.

One of the occupants was described as a white male, approximately 18-24-years-old, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a black tank top and a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap.

The other occupant was described as a white female, 18-24-years-old, with brown hair. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans with holes.

The second vehicle involved was described as a white sedan with a sunroof.

The driver of that vehicle is described as a Hispanic male, 18-24-years-old, with numerous tattoos. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and black shorts.
