Part of I-95 was blocked early Wednesday morning because a U.S. Mail truck slammed into a median near State Road in Holmesburg.
The crash happened about 2:30 a.m., when the truck jackknifed and ran into the median.
A chunk of the fractured median flew into the northbound lanes, where a state police cruiser hit it and went airborne.
The trooper was not seriously hurt.
The truck driver has been taken to the hospital with injuries. There's no word on his condition.
PennDOT crews sanded down the road to remove the leaking fuel.
The truck has been towed, and three southbound lanes are now slowly getting by the accident scene. The right lane remains closed as crews continue to clear the scene. The northbound lanes of the highway are clear at this time.
