Driver dies, 2 other hurt when car hits Pa. house

LANCASTER, Pa. - October 3, 2011

Authorities identified the driver as 23-year-old Richard Hake, of Columbia. Police say Hake ran a stop sign early Sunday morning and crashed into the front of a split-level home in West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.

Two male passengers were transported from the scene with serious injuries.

The owners of the home were inside at the time of the crash but were unhurt. Investigators tell the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era the home sustained major damage and had to be condemned.
