Police: Child struck by SEPTA bus in Oxford Circle

Philadelphia police say a child was struck by a SEPTA bus Tuesday afternoon in the Oxford Circle section of the city.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Oxford Avenue near Summerdale Avenue.

Police say the child was apparently struck and then pinned under the route 67 SEPTA bus.

After being freed, the child was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Police say the child suffered leg injuries that non-life-threatening.

No other information has been released.
