1 student killed, another injured in NJ crash

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. - October 5, 2011

UPDATE: Deer collision claims life of Stockton College student

The crash happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on on the campus of Richard Stockton College in Atlantic County.

Investigators say the vehicle impacted with a deer and then several trees, injuring the driver, Joao Simoes, 21, of Newark, and killing the passenger, Joseph Miller, of Medford.

Miller would have been 22 today.

Simoes was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
