Arrest made in violent super market robbery

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - October 7, 2011

20-year-old Wesley Clark from the 2100 block of North 20th Street was arrested without incident on October 4, 2011. Clark will be charged with robbery and related offenses.

According to investigators, it was 7:00 a.m. on July 27, 2011 when two employees were in the process of opening the My City Super Market, located at 1920 West Susquehanna Avenue.

Clark and another male entered the store armed with guns, pistol-whipped the store employees, went behind the counter and took approximately $300 in cash and a 12 gauge shotgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, standing 5'9"-5'10", weighing 165-175 lbs, wearing a brown Nike shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
