Mid-November sentencing in Ariz. sweat lodge case

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - October 7, 2011

Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Warren Darrow set Nov. 18 as the day James Arthur Ray will find out whether he'll spend any time in prison. Ray led dozens of people in the ceremony two years ago near Sedona.

Three people died, and a jury convicted Ray on three counts of negligent homicide earlier this year.

Darrow also set aside six days in November for a mitigation hearing during which Ray's attorneys can argue for a lesser sentence. Ray now faces anything from probation to nine years in prison.

Prosecutors can call rebuttal witnesses.
