Delaware State Police say a Pennsylvania man has been charged with manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a six-car crash in Newark that left one person dead.

Police say 21-year-old Gregory Lashbrook of Landenberg, Pa., was charged Tuesday after being released from Christiana Hospital.

The crash happened on Paper Mill and Polly Drummond Hill roads about 10 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say 40-year-old Ron C. Plank of Hockessin was killed and four others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
