Police ID Del. fatal motorcycle crash victim
NEWARK, Del. - October 16, 2011
He has been identified as 33-year-old Aaron Rydell of Middletown, Delaware.
Officers were called around 5:30 a.m. Saturday to the 1900 block of Ogletown Road.
A passing motorist discovered the crashed motorcycle and the driver of the bike on the side of the highway.
According to investigators, Rydell was traveling eastbound on Route 273, when a curve in the road caused him to go off into the grass and strike a road sign.
Continuing on the grass, Rydell was ejected from the bike and his body struck a telephone pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Rydell was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
