Police say the man collapsed at Genessee and Beatty streets at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The victim managed to get where paramedics could see him and fell unconscious.
He was rushed to the hospital, but there is no word on a condition.
Police are trying to sort out how he was shot.
This occurred a few blocks away from a blaze that injured five firefighters.
