1 dead, 2 injured in evening I-95 accident

RIDLEY, Pa. - October 30, 2011

Police say at around 7:30 p.m., a driver traveling southbound on I-95 lost control just south of Rt. 420.

The vehicle overturned and a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver and another passenger were transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in unknown conditions.

I-95 South was closed for close to an hour.

This comes after a series of accident blamed on icy conditions including one in the early morning hours.

Two people died and two others were injured when an SUV travelling in the southbound lanes of I-95 struck a patch of black ice, hit a guardrail, and went over an embankment.
