Man deported caught with $2 million in heroin
FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - November 1, 2011
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says the man was first
arrested in mid-October in one of three busts that the sheriff's
office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said dismantled
the smuggling ring, which is believed to be tied to the Sinaloa
cartel - Mexico's most powerful.
Sheriff's spokesman Elias Johnson said Tuesday that the man
wasn't identified as a main target, and was turned over to the
Border Patrol.
The sheriff's office says the same man was found in the U.S. on
Monday with $2 million worth of heroin. They planned to announce
more details later Tuesday.
