The shooting happened on the 1100 block of N. Ruby Street. The 21-year-old victim managed to run around the block to the 1100 block of S. 53rd Street where he collapsed.
The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.
Police are looking for two suspects who were wanted for an earlier robbery nearby on the 5200 block of Cedar Avenue. It is not known if the men wanted in the robbery are connected to the shooting.
The victim's identity has not been released.
