Mrs. Fixit: More uses for squeeze bottles

December 4, 2011

If you have squeaky door or sticky lock, put some baby powder or some cornstarch in a squeeze bottle and squeeze it into the areas that need some lubrication.

Work the door or the key back and forth to eliminate those squeaks.

Fill a squeeze bottle with your favorite laundry stain treater and you'll always have it on hand.

As a bonus, the squeeze top will ensure your solution ends up just where you need it!

Fill a squirt bottle with some baking soda and hot water to make a great toilet bowl cleaner.

The squirt top will allow you to squirt the cleaner up and under the rim of the toilet, just where you need it, just make sure that you label the bottle as toilet cleaner so no one tries to reuse the bottle.

Finally, try a squeeze bottle as a substitue for a baster just squeeze the air out, insert it in the cooking liquid and squeeze it up! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
