A driver was killed when a car was hit by a tractor trailer, sparking a fire during rush hour Tuesday morning.
It happened around 8:40 a.m. in Whitpain Township near the Mid-County interchange.
That's where, police say, the truck rear-ended the car. Due to the impact, both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating.
