$25K taken in smash & grab at Concord Mall

TALLEYVILLE, Del. - December 15, 2011

It was between 5:15 and 5:30 a.m. Thursday when two men smashed the glass doors to the Macy's store. They then made their way to the jewelry department where they smashed through the glass counters and stole around $25,000 worth of watches and jewelry.

Police say both suspects were wearing dark clothing.

An employee was inside the store at the time of the incident. She tells police that she thought she heard something, but thought nothing of it until she was notified of the break-in by the alarm company. By the time she went down stairs, the suspects were gone.

State Police are continuing to investigate.
