A 92-year-old woman was struck and killed on Thursday afternoon in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

It happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Saltzman House Apartments, a senior citizen assisted living facility, at 1401 Springdale Road.

Police say 82-year-old Shirley Braverman, a resident of the facility, was backing out of a parking spot in the north end of lot, when she lost control of the vehicle and hit 92-year-old Rose Weber.

Weber, also a Saltzman house resident, was walking toward the building along the south side of the parking lot when she was struck.

Police say Weber became pinned under the car, which came to rest along the wood line of parking lot.

Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
