Police: Homeless man robbed two Delaware Walgreens stores

NEWARK, Del. - May 23, 2012

Two arrest warrants have been issued for 30-year-old Christopher Dolbow. Dolbow is currently homeless but has ties to Stanton, Delaware and Elkton, Maryland.

Police say Dolbow robbed the Walgreens in the 500 block of Main Street in Stanton on Sunday, and the Walgreens in the 2600 block of Capitol Trail in Newark on Monday.

In both cases, investigators say Dolbow acted as if he was going to buy something, then demanded money from the clerk. In the first case the suspect told the clerk he had a gun and the clerk gave him money. In the second, the suspect reached into the register and grabbed money, and the clerk tried to stop him. There was a brief struggle and the suspect fled.

Neither clerk was hurt.

Investigators say they were able to link Dolbow to the robberies after finding his abandoned 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck in a bank parking lot in Newark Sunday night.

Dolbow is described as a white man, 5'10" tall, weighing 165 pounds with brown or red hair and blue eyes.

Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may know Dolbow's location to call 911 or the Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6.
