Del. couple arrested on drug charges

MAGNOLIA, Del. - July 10, 2012

On Monday July 9th at approximately 10:57 p.m., the Kent County Governor's Task Force responded to a home at the 300 block of Lambert Drive in Meadowbrook Acres on a Crime Stoppers tip that Daniel W. Reedy Jr. was there.

Reedy was wanted for violation of probation.

Upon arrival, Reedy answered the door and was taken into custody without incident.

While inside the residence, detectives observed marijuana and other drug paraphernalia throughout the living room.

Detectives were then allowed to search the residence after being given consent by the homeowners.

During the search, detectives located approximately 71 grams of packaged marijuana, a 12 gauge shotgun with 3 rounds of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, as well as 11 marijuana plants being grown outside the house.

The couple's two young children, one 6 year old and one 2 year old, were also in the residence.

Daniel was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Possession of Marijuana, Conspiracy, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $12,000 secured bond.

His wife, Destiny Reedy, was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Conspiracy, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

She was released on $2,000 unsecured bond.

The children were turned over to a family member.
