It happened around 3:50 Saturday morning on the 6100 block of Delancey Street.
Flames were found coming from the two-story home.
Fire crews were able to get the upper hand on the blaze in less than a half hour.
One firefighter was injured while breaking down a door and was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was treated and released.
Authorities are investigating what sparked the blaze.
