Attorneys for a widow and son accused in the beating death of her husband inside the family's home say evidence against their clients was obtained illegally.

The Philadelphia Inquirer says defense attorney John Kusturiss argued in Delaware County on Wednesday that 25-year-old Parth Ingle of Pottstown was not read his rights before he gave police a statement.

Ingle and 52-year-old Bhavnaben Ingle are charged in the January 2008 bludgeoning and stabbing death of 55-year-old Arunkumar Ingle in Middletown Township.

Authorities say the slaying was motivated in part by the victim's marital infidelity. Parth Ingle was sentenced in December to probation on a conviction of hacking into his father's emails. Authorities say he also tracked his father's movements with a hidden GPS device.
