Fmr. Bucks Co. prosecutor disbarred over sex with teen

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - July 21, 2012

Anthony Cappuccio resigned as second-in-command in the Bucks County district attorney's office in September 2008, after Richland Township police found him and a 17-year-old boy partially clothed in a parked car.

The Morning Call reports Chief Justice Ronald Castille wrote in the decision that Cappuccio should be disbarred because he gained the trust of the boy's parents because he was a public official and led a church youth group.

Cappuccio argued that he shouldn't be disbarred, saying that a five-year suspension was appropriate.

He pleaded guilty to child endangerment, corruption of minors and related counts. He served six months in Northampton County Prison and is on probation until 2017.
