Authorities say at around 1:50 a.m. a 23-year-old male got into an altercation with bouncers at the Roxy Club.
The man was thrown out of the club when, police say, he was struck by a blue Honda pulling out of the parking lot.
The vehicle fled the scene, however, it was recovered soon thereafter in the 2600 block of South Bancroft Street
The 23-year-old man was transported to Hahnemann Hospital where he is listed in critical condition with severe head trauma.
The driver of the striking vehicle was taken into custody.
Charges are pending.
