NJ state trooper fired after resisting arrest

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -August 3, 2012

Trooper Alexis Hayes pleaded guilty to a disorderly persons offense in Camden County.

Prosecutor's Office spokesman Jason Laughlin tells The Star-Ledger of Newark the 32-year-old was accused in 2010 of attacking a police officer who responded to a domestic disturbance at her home in Berlin.

Hayes accused a superior of sexually assaulting and impregnating her while attending a funeral in Pittsburgh in 2009. Pennsylvania prosecutors declined to pursue the case.

Hayes also accused a female instructor at the State Police academy with sexual harassment. The case was dismissed because it had exceeded the statute of limitations.

An administrative law judge tossed most of the disciplinary charges against the instructor.
