Police say the driver 35-year-old Edwin Santiago was travelling south near the intersection of Fire Road and Delilah Road around 6:30 a.m.
The top of the truck, known as the boom, was in the upright position when it hit an overhead wire causing the vehicle to overturn.
No one was injured in the crash.
Santiago was later issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.
The truck is owned by American Lighting and Signalization (ALS) - a private company.
