Neshaminy Mall jewelry thief caught on tape

Police say a man walked into a jewelry store in the Neshaminy Mall, asked to see a diamond engagement ring and then fled the store with the merchandise. The entire event was caught on tape and now Bensalem police are asking for your help in locating the suspect.

Investigators say it was 2:00 p.m. last Thursday when the man entered Gordon's Jewelers. He asked to see a 1K diamond engagement ring valued at $8,500. The employee removed the ring from the showcase and handed it to the suspect, who after taking a moment to examine the item, ran from the store and into the mall parking lot.

The suspect was last seen running across Neshaminy Boulevard.

The thief is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age, approximately 5'10", with a slim build, large circular holes in his earlobes, Mohawk haircut, some facial hair, and tattoos on his right arm. He was wearing a black Flyers hat, black Flyers t-shirt with #18 Richards on the back, white long sleeve shirt underneath the t-shirt and black basketball shorts.
